A solid contender for mechanical progress capture, the Jag Traxion pulley by Petzl is designed to carry heavy loads thanks to its large diameter aluminum sheave mounted on sealed ball bearings. Thanks to the lower mounting hole this block can be used to create different haul systems and is especially handy for a 4:1 setup. The toothed cam with self-cleaning slot optimizes performance under any condition and functions well on frozen or dirty ropes. A tab included with the toothed cam allows this block to be used as a standard pulley simply by locking the progress capture in the raised position.
