Genuine U.S. Military G.I. boots are commonly known as "mickeys" or "mickey mouse boots". When its going to be cold trust the same system as our armed forces and the instructors at Safety One reach for time and time again.  The ingenious design consists of multiple layers of wool felt sandwiched between waterproof and pliable rubber to make sure the insulating layers stay dry. The air release valve is designed for use in high-altitude flight or mountain climbing to release pressure and hot spots on the foot and is NOT for use to inflate your boots! Many imported/counterfeit models offer far less insulation, are made of inferior rubber and do not have the air release valve.  Experts trust these boots to stay warm in extremely cold situations as you'd encounter when conducting backcountry snowcat operations, hunting, ice fishing or in the emergency kit in your snowcat.

Though harder to find the Safety One Pro Shop is proud to offer boots in both black and white. The black boots are rated for temperatures as low as -20 while the white boots can be used as low as -65!

Micky Boots tend to run large, but allow for additional heavy wool socks. We recommend heavy weight wool socks to increase your comfort and additional insulation. Most boots are unused or lightly used, some are mildly discolored and others have been issued all will function to keep your feet warm in the harshest conditions.
